Detroit: Become Human PS4, PC Sales Evolve Past 10 Million Paid Units

Can I get a $10 upgrade to a PS5 Pro version with 4k 120fps? Pls? Too much?

Does that count the PS Plus Collection (RIP)?

Literally bought this couple hours ago on PC when i saw it hit my golden price. Heard good things.

@Sequel It's not bad, but in my opinion Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit were more memorable.

Excellent game! It's a shame Sony let Quantic Dream get away. I liked the fruits of their partnership.

I really enjoyed Detroit and i think it's better than Beyond Two Souls and arguably a bit better than Heavy Rain.

But what happened to QD and Star Wars Eclipse?

I quite liked this game despite having doubts about it being anything but passable when it first came out. The writing was terrible but the premise of the story really opened my eyes to how human dependency to tech can be to the detriment of us all (the poorer especially) and that corporations not being firmly regulated could lead us to this point in humanity.

Also, it was fun knowing two of the lead actors in the game (Jesse Williams & Minka Kelly) were having an affair during the making of the game

@PuppetMaster its in development hell , and they announced it way too soon. for all we know it could be 2028/2029

Was my first Quantic Dream game, on pc. Also part of the reason i bit on a ps5. Too bad sony doesn't make these anymore.

@TicklefistCP funny enough People made fun of them when they did but they haven't completely abandoned these types of games as ballistic moon and did the until dawn remake and most likely potential sequel.

This was a very memorable game for me, even if it had all the trappings of “in your face” stuff from David Cage. It was my favorite out of the three games from him.

Probably my favorite game of this genre. Although Quantic Dream has certainly fallen from grace in recent years. Not to mention it’s a studio that appears to have vanished into thin air as far as ongoing projects.

Never cared for QD's games but I do really like this one. Felt like there was more action and control of events than in other games of this type. Also had a compelling story and characters.

It is my second favorite game from David behind only Heavy Rain, actually I like/love all his games. Maybe he can make a comeback someday if he ever manages to remove his face from his a**.

@Perturbator Heavy Rain definitely had the most meme potential but Detroit is peak Quantic Dream cheese.

This was my most hyped game from the old Sony e3 days. But I ended up disappointed. Tried to get through it twice and never did. Just bought it again in PC today with the flash sale. For $12 why not try again?

A tv show based on this would probably be quite interesting 🤔

@Perturbator great gameplay in Detroit but I agree. Its just impossible for me to "feel" for a machine that doesn't have a soul. Unlike every human being. I hope people don't have sympathy for machines in the future like androids or replicants in blade runner.

The writing in this game is God awful. By making ''freedom'' essentially a computer virus, this immediately changes the discussion from ''these machines are alive!'' to ''these machines are defective.''

And the problem is, as much as the writers are trying to very obviously draw comparisons with the Civil Rights movement, the fact of the matter is that comparing an appliance built to serve with human beings whose only crime was to have the wrong skin colour is misguided at best and offensive at worst. This is not the same scenario.

Congrats to Quantic Dream----Was their next game... a Star Wars IP right?

@Can-You-Believe-Sith there was a TV series in the UK called 'Humans' which is quite close to the some of the themes in this game

I just kept waiting to play as Connor again. Loved him and Hank as the vet and rookie cop act.

Yep it was based on the swedish science fiction drama Real Humans

Good for them, I really enjoyed D:BH. It was my first Quantic Dreams game, and I need to go back to Heavy Rain and Beyond at some point, which I think I have in my library through PS+.

I love their games.

But I'm still baffled at how they are still going.

It's took this long to make 10mil

The tech and talent they use can't be cheap for every game.

Yet they ain't selling GTA level numbers, so how are they still going.

It was 2018 so it's been 6 nearly 7 years since their last game.

Intriguing how some of these companies even make money.

But you really need to hit Heavy Rain.
It's probably one of the best, if not thee best in this type of genre. Very gritty and grounded, with alot of twists and turns.

Also Fahrenheit has to be given your attention.
It's a bit dated but the concept was amazing, esp for the time and the story is very compelling.

I'd play both before beyond two Souls, I really wasn't a fan.

Love this game. Got it on PS5 and PC. QD games are a love or hate affair, but I really liked them all. Even Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy.

Shame we haven't had another quantic game in a long time

I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit.

@NEStalgia, been years since i've played it, but i thorougly enjoyed it. Far better than the other QD stuff imo.

The game starts strong and is fascinating, but at some point the scenario and characters are more and more dull and generic. You understand where it is going to go and how it will end and ultimately there is not much surprise. Also I really didn’t like the forced choices that you can make, and then other characters start to blame you for what you have done, but originally the game was telling you “you should really do that now”. Overall a good game, innovative for sure, but it doesn’t hold in the long run.

Loved this. I stopped when I was only a couple trophies away from the platinum, though.

Haven't really enjoyed other games in this vein quite as much.

I enjoyed getting the platinum trophy for this one. I hope a sequel is made for PS5 PRO.

i have to admire this game’s versatility for being
A) an awesome police thriller
B) an adorable story of found family
C) a slightly wonky race allegory
all in one

Detroit Become Human was one of my favourite games on PS4. It absolutely deserves success.

Well deserved, and this has reminded me I need to replay it, as I really enjoyed it first time around.
